RULES

How to play.

01

Equal stakes. One winner.

Both players deposit the same amount of ETH into the match contract. Rock beats scissors, scissors beats paper, paper beats rock.

New matches are best of three: first to two points. A draw adds no point and starts a fresh throw with the same escrowed stakes.

02

The 2.5% fee.

The house takes 2.5% of the total pot once, when a match finishes—including a forfeit. Two 0.01 ETH stakes produce a 0.02 ETH pot: 0.0195 ETH for the winner and 0.0005 ETH for the house.

The winner is paid directly to their wallet. If a wallet cannot receive the payment, it remains available to withdraw. Network fees are separate.

03

Lock before reveal.

Your browser generates a random secret and combines it with your move into a commitment. Both players commit before either can reveal. The contract checks each revealed move against its commitment.

Select your move and confirm it once in your wallet. Once both moves are locked, the reveal service submits them automatically and pays the reveal network fee. The countdown starts when both reveals are confirmed. Keep this browser open until both moves are revealed. Background browsers may delay delivery; closing the browser can prevent it. The secret is saved on this device. Do not clear browser data or switch devices during a match; use the move backup if needed.

04

Keep the match moving.

Each commit phase and reveal phase lasts 30 seconds. Once both commitments arrive, a fresh reveal deadline starts.

If exactly one player acts by the deadline, the other player loses that hand. The match continues until a player has two points. If neither acts, both gain a point. At 1–1, play continues. At 2–1 or 1–2, the leading player wins. At 2–2, both stakes return minus the 2.5% house fee and both streaks reset. A separate timeout service can send the settlement transaction. If it is unavailable, Settle Timeout provides a manual recovery path.

05

Choose your challenger.

Set a stake and create a match, or join an open match at its listed stake. Share your match link to invite a friend. Public matches can be joined by anyone except their creator.

A waiting creator can cancel before an opponent joins and receive the full stake back. There is no cancellation after a match starts.

06

Know the arena.

Matches use ETH on Base. Only stake what you are prepared to lose. Practice uses a bot, no contract, and no ETH.

Streaks count consecutive match wins. Volume counts a player’s stake once when a match is joined, including refunded matches—not every draw or round.

Only play where permitted by law. Contract details and the current security review status are on the Fairness page.
