What Arena56 uses to run the game.
Updated October 5, 2026Wallets and public matches
When you connect a wallet, Arena56 reads its public address and network. Wallet addresses, stakes, commitments, revealed moves, scores, fees and payouts are public blockchain records. A Basename or ENS name may identify your address. Other players and spectators can see match information.
The public Arena56 site does not request your private key or seed phrase. Transaction approval happens in your wallet.
On your device
Browser storage keeps audio settings, practice history, match shortcuts, selected contract settings and the secret needed to reveal a committed move. Move backups are downloaded to your device when you request one.
You can clear this data in your browser. Clearing a hidden move during an active match can prevent a valid reveal and cost you that hand. Complete your match before clearing storage or changing devices.
ETH play signup
Practice does not require a wallet or launch signup. If you choose to sign up for ETH play, Arena56 checks that your wallet holds at least 0.002 ETH on Base and verifies a signature proving wallet ownership. We store your public wallet address, signup time, signed message and signature, and the balance and block used for the eligibility check. For the founding campaign, we also collect your public X handle, reply link, campaign post and submission time. We use the X API to verify the reply author, wallet address in the reply, follow, like and repost before accepting an entry. We store the X account ID and verification time with the entry. X and its API providers process these requests under their own policies. We use these records to prevent duplicate founding applications and administer the founding reward and launch giveaway entries. Signup continues after the 200-player launch goal; only the first 200 receive the founding hand. Giveaway entry does not guarantee a prize. Founding numbers are permanent and visible with your wallet status. Downloading a card does not post it; choosing Share My Spot opens X for you to review and publish. These records support the unique-wallet launch counter and prevent duplicate registrations. The public counter displays totals, not the signature registry. Signup sends no funds and grants no permission to move them. Contact [email protected] to request deletion of signup information; requests are reviewed against records needed for referral and payment accounting.
Affiliate referrals
If you create an affiliate link, we store your payout wallet, signed registration and link code. A valid link is remembered in the visitor’s browser for up to 30 days. At the player’s first verified signup, the affiliate is recorded with the wallet and signed signup proof. Attribution has no expiry and later links cannot replace it. Practice does not register a referral.
Affiliate sessions last up to 24 hours in browser session storage. Referral totals are shown to the affiliate after wallet authentication; no public list of referred wallets is provided. Payout wallet attribution and commission transactions become public blockchain records when used in ETH matches. We retain the wallet-to-affiliate association and necessary payout records to support lifetime commission accounting. Contact [email protected] about stored information; blockchain records cannot be erased.
Connections and service providers
Arena56 uses hosting, Cloudflare services and blockchain RPC providers, including Alchemy and public fallback endpoints, to load the site, read matches and relay requests. These providers may process network information such as IP addresses, browser information, request times and requested resources. Your wallet provider processes wallet connection and transaction requests under its own policies.
Automatic reveals send your committed move, match number, wallet address and reveal secret to the reveal service only after both players have locked their moves. The service submits that proof to the contract and pays its network fee. The reveal proof becomes public onchain; pending signed reveal transactions may be retained for delivery retries.
Preset taunts send a match identifier, player side, animation name and timing information over a live connection. They do not require a wallet signature. They are cosmetic and are not proof of a player’s identity. The relay stores cooldown timestamps; the application does not keep a taunt message history.
Get ETH on Base offers an embedded LI.FI widget and an optional Jumper link. The widget and its provider requests load only when you select Bridge Here; they may process your IP address, browser information, selected assets and amounts. Connecting a wallet shares its address and requested transactions with LI.FI, wallet services and route providers under their policies. The widget may store settings and transaction progress in your browser. Opening Jumper sends selected networks and tokens in the link, not your Arena56 wallet address, signup or referral details. Arena56 does not custody bridging funds.
Provider policies: Cloudflare, Alchemy and OpenAI. Providers may process data in other countries.
When you contact us
The support form sends your email address, topic, message and any optional wallet, match or transaction details through Cloudflare to the Arena56 Zoho support inbox. We use this information to answer your request. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions and may process your IP address and browser signals. Request references and message fingerprints are kept for up to eight days to prevent duplicate delivery; the form service does not store your message body or email address in its request database. You can also email support directly. Support records may be kept for follow-up, security or legal obligations. Do not send private keys, seed phrases or unnecessary personal information.
Why information is used
Information is used to run matches, display results and rankings, recover active matches, process settlement, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. The game does not add advertising trackers or sell player information. Arena56 records fixed technical error categories and counts to detect failures; it does not include error messages, stack traces, page URLs, wallet addresses or hidden moves. Error counts are removed after 24 hours. Service providers may maintain operational or security logs.
Browser data remains until you clear it or the app replaces it. Public blockchain records are permanent. Cooldown records remain while the relay room exists. Infrastructure logs follow the relevant provider’s retention practices; we do not promise that every provider record is immediately deleted.
Your choices
You can practice without connecting a wallet, leave audio off, disconnect your wallet or clear local browser storage. Disconnecting does not cancel an active match or remove its public records. Avoid connecting an address you do not want associated with your activity.
To ask about access, correction or deletion of information that Arena56 controls, contact [email protected]. Available rights depend on applicable law. We cannot erase or change blockchain records, and we may need to verify a request without asking for a private key.
Age and changes
Arena56 is not intended for children. ETH play is restricted to people who meet the age and legal requirements in the Terms of service.
